We are in Bangalore. Office for my husband (with a formal session in the afternoon) no formal dinner, but the dress code is black tie or the equivalent in India. Should I Sari? I am Punjabi and not very comfortable in it (tripped and fell the last time you used.) And it can bring my husband a formal kurta pajama (black embroidery, etc.)? HELP! The event is only 10 days.

They are very fashionable and can be very formal. Well, you know, in Bangalore, the mode of the sari, so you always choose. For a black tie event here (the States), could be a really beautiful salwar kameez or a sari to use in Nice.
