What sort of certifications/official courses are available to learn to sail large boats? - boats for salebc
I am an experienced sailor and boat-racing, but not much experience in big boat, I wondered where the courses to learn about the large boat and what kind of official certificates are required by the crew of a ship.

In general, it is not "official" certification for the crew a larger boat, it belongs to the captain that he (or she intends to take). The experience of the racing boat, you probably have already realized the Racing Rules of Sailing, and have a good understanding of race tactics, which help you to a place on a boat.
You are at the local yacht clubs on the race schedule and ready - almost always one or two boats are outnumbered and can not be a member of the crew.
There are also some specialized websites (eg http://www.steadycrew.com/) that are available come the opportunity for surfers to find the crew in connection available.
There are two organizations that provide national quality standards for training in Kiel, sailing in the United States. They are American Sailing Association (http://www.asa.com/) and the U.S. Vela (http://www.ussailing.org/). Both have similar trends of courses in basic navigation of the keel of the ship and moved over the pass off decision. ASA focuses mainly on training Kieltion, while the U.S. Vela also the governing body for the sport of sailing in the United States, in particular, yacht, sailing, windsurfing, sailing and racing of radio. Both programs combine theoretical knowledge in the experience in the water. Their Web sites can guide the schools in their region.
Unfortunately, most of the licenses in the United States did not need qualifications, just regurgitating facts from a book. There are sailing schools along the east coast, check Yachting Magazine. Some charter companies offering sailing schools. They provide a test certificate Thet, who took the course, but no official approval. The certificate is useful if you plan charter yachts in the future.
